The singer cited the need to spend more time with her family

With less than a month to go before opening night, Jennifer Lopez has canceled her entire upcoming summer tour. The 30-plus city This Is Me...Live tour was set to launch on June 26 in Orlando, Florida at Kia Center, with planned stops across North America in Miami, Los Angeles, Toronto, her hometown of New York City, and more before wrapping up in Houston, Texas on August 31 at the Toyota Center.
Lopez cited the need to spend more time with her family as the primary reason for pulling the plug on the entire run, and the hitmaker is "heartsick" over the decision to cancel, she said in a newsletter to her fans on Friday [May 31].
"Jennifer is taking time off to be with her children, family, and friends," a statement from tour promoter Live Nation read.
JLo said in her own statement, "I am completely heartsick and devastated about letting you down. Please know that I wouldn't do this if I didn't feel that it was absolutely necessary. I promise I will make it up to you and we will all be together again. I love you all so much. Until next time..."
Fans who purchased tickets through Ticketmaster will be automatically refunded. Anyone who purchased tickets through third-party re-sale vendors, such as StubHub, SeatGeek, VividSeats, and others, should contact their point of purchase regarding a refund.
The entertainment icon originally announced the tour back in February to push her latest album, This Is Me…Now. Recently, she re-branded the run to the moniker This Is Me...Live. The tour would have marked JLo's triumphant return to touring after a five-year break, following the successful 2019 tour that grossed over $50 million and sold out venues across the country.
Released on February 16, This Is Me...Now peaked at No. 38 on the Billboard 200 and No. 1 on the UK's Top R&B Albums chart.
The release of This Is Me...Now, her first studio album in nearly a decade, is JenniferLopez’s story, in Jennifer Lopez’s words. The album serves as a rich tapestry of sounds and emotions, seamlessly blending elements of pop, R&B and hip hop influences to create a fusion of genres. Her lyrics delve into the highs and lows of life, love, and relationships with unflinching honesty and introspection as she unveils a genuine story of growth, resilience, hard work, and the transformative power of self love.
Jennifer's distinctive vocals intertwine flawlessly with captivating melodies, delivering a musical experience that is both commanding and deeply meaningful. Written and recorded at her Los Angeles home in 2022 and 2023, Jennifer Lopez collaborated with a star-studded lineup of hit producers, including Rogét Chahayed, Angel Lopez, and Jeff "Gitty" Gitelman. Additional songwriter-producers were HitBoy, Tay Kieth, Yeti Beats, Carter Lang, Kim "Kaydence" Krysiuk, Jason Derulo, and Brandon Riester, who served as A&R for this project.
Streaming now globally on Prime Video, This Is Me…Now: A Love Story is like nothing you’ve ever seen from Jennifer Lopez. Alongside director Dave Meyers, Jennifer has created a narrative-driven cinematic odyssey, steeped in mythological storytelling and personal healing. Dropping in tandem with her first studio album in a decade, this genre-bending Amazon original showcases her journey to love through her own eyes. With fantastical costumes, breathtaking choreography, and star-studded cameos, this panorama is an introspective retrospective of Jennifer’s resilient heart.
